COVID-19 SAFETY & GENERAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS

One Mile Arts takes COVID-19 safety precautions and other infectious disease precautions seriously.
Our aim is to keep everyone safe while still being able to gather in the community for the arts.

When you schedule an event or program with us, we will pencil you in for two separate days – the first date will be your preferred date, and the second date will be a back-up date.  In the event of circumstances that would require rescheduling your first choice of a day, such as due to participants/facilitators testing positive for COVID-19, the second date is already reserved on the calendar for you ahead of time!

Below are some of our key COVID-19/ general safety measures:

Facilitators will take a COVID-19 test the morning of a scheduled event/program.

Facilitators are fully vaccinated and boosted.

All participants will need to agree to abide by CDC recommendations such as mask wearing.

Events are held outside weather permitting, or inside with air flow via windows, fans and/or air purifiers.
Air flow and space are very important to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The principal mode by which people are infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is through exposure to respiratory droplets carrying infectious virus

Participants will be positioned to best support proper social distancing.

Hand sanitizer will be onsite and everyone will be encouraged to use it.
While we have learned from the CDC that it is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces, the risk is generally considered to be low.

Facilitators are First Aid and CPR Certified or in the process of training.

Facilitators have current Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances and Pennsylvania Criminal Background Checks.
